On March 5, 2015, Schurmer Reese Davies attorneys Earl Schurmer and Lauren Wood volunteered with the Los Angeles Trial Lawyers Charities (LATLC) to plant trees at Vista Del Mar Child and Family Services. Vista Del Mar is a wonderful organization that does amazing things for children with special needs. Located in Los Angeles, Vista Del Mar provides wide-ranging social, educational and behavioral health services to children with emotional and psychological disorders, behavioral issues, and other challenging conditions. The school provides everything from adoption services and counseling to housing children on the facility and providing 24-hour care. It is truly an outstanding organization that does remarkable things for the children it serves.
The Los Angeles Trial Lawyers' Charities is an attorney-based organization that provides financial assistance to its chosen partner charities. Such charities focus on issues related to education, children, battered women, and homelessness in Los Angeles County. As members of LATLC, attorneys Earl Schurmer and Lauren Wood spent the day planting trees at the Vista Del Mar campus, engaging with the children, and learning more about what they do on a daily basis at Vista Del Mar. Mr. Schurmer and Ms. Wood look forward to volunteering with both LATLC and Vista Del Mar again in the near future.
